Die Oma with my ex-wife Judy in 1975. I never knew Oma's real name,
everybody just called her Oma — she was everybody's granma. Turns out
her last name was Coressel, which was a family that had been in Hohenecken
at
least since 1717. In 1975 the Gasthaus had become a popular hotel; upon
checking in we learned Der Opa had died. Apparently it kept expanding over
the years, still in the Coressel family, until was a popular conference
center. But just recently (as of November 2020) it has closed permanently,
perhaps because of the COVID-19 virus.
