An old shed on the swimming club site, prior to being torn down, and before
the excavation began. Once digging started, I recall finding lots of musket
balls, arrow heads, etc. On the farms, plows would often turn up Civil War
relics like gun parts and military belt buckles. Except for the excavation
and concrete pouring, most of the labor was done by future club members. I
was on the posthole-digging crew for the fences, hard work because of all
the roots and rocks.
