The family moved from Kaiserslautern to Frankfurt just before Frankfurt Junior High School opened. The 1958-59 school year was the last one where the elementary school went up to 8th grade (I was in 9th grade at the high school that year). But Kaiserslautern's junior high school opened in 1953, so Pam must have had 7th grade in a junior high, and then 8th grade in elementary shool! Then 9th in the new Frankfurt Junior High, then 10th at the high school.
