Peter Nicolai Lund born 1841 in Løiten (now Løten), Hedmark, Norway, probably as Peder Nikolaisen. Emigrated to United States in 1868. Married Bergit "Betsey" Knutson Høljesdatter Hanson (surname Hanson from a previous marriage), who had arrived in the USA in 1842; they had four children including my mother's father, Carl.
