Pete and Peter. In 1978 he was still living in Beirut. To stay in shape, he had started running, which was not a widespread pastime even in the USA, and was definitely strange in Beirut, especially with bullets whizzing in every direction, bombs going off, etc. But he was so enthusiastic about it, I figured I'd give it a try and the rest is history.
