The Casino of the IG Farben complex in Frankfurt, opened along with the main building in 1930. When American forces took over the Farben complex in 1945, this building became the US Army Officers Club, also known as the Terrace Club. It had an elegant dining room with waiters and white tablecloths, and an enormous ballroom that was the site of the 1961 Frankfurt High School prom. The Casino is separated from the main Farben building by a reflecting pool (barely visible behind the trees at lower left); see this page and this one for photos.
