Schultheiss (Berlin), known mainly for Berliner Weisse, a wheat beer typically served mixed with raspberry syrup. In Germany, each Gasthaus served only one brand of beer, and it was either a barley-hops beer (most common) or else a wheat beer (Weisse or Weizenbier). Going to a wheat beer place was like being in a Mel Brooks movie because of all the farting; I think that was part of its charm for some people.
