I Want to Live jacket. An interesting facet of the
PX record department was that many, maybe most, of the records were not on
the original American labels, but on British ones, notably the London label.
Apparently something was not quite kosher about this arrangement because
every American family, when rotating back to the States, was instructed to
black out everywhere it says "London" on any record label and the jacket, as
you can see in this photo and
next one.
In any case it's worth mentioning that the PX also had a large stock of
German records, such as classical music on the super-high quality Deutsche
Grammofon and Angel labels.
