2011 / 10 / 01: | A new Kermit Project
website opens outside of and independent of Columbia University at www.kermitproject.org/. The new
site does not duplicate everything from Columbia; rather it is dedicated to
new developments in Kermit protocol and software and to maintaining Open
Source versions of Kermit those software programs that remain active and in
wide use: C-Kermit, Kermit 95, and E-Kermit.

2011 / 09 / 30:
| The Kermit Project website at Columbia University is frozen.
No further changes will be made (unless it be by Columbia administration).
The website and software archive will remain available as they are, with
no support from Columbia University, for the foreseeable future.

2011 / 08 / 18:
| A new and comprehensive index to the
entire Kermit Software archive. The FTP site has been reorganized for
convenient web access, with Zip and Tar.gz archives available for every
Kermit implementation since 1981, available for download over HTTP from
your Web browser. The FTP archive remains available, but organized by
Kermit program, rather than "by tape".
