Katherine G. Nickerson, M.D. Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine, currently Interim Associate Chair of Clinical Affairs, Department of Medicine, is a practicing internist and rheumatologist who has devoted a significant part of her efforts toward medical education. She developed and has served as Course Director of the Clinical Practice Course since 1995. This course is a multidisciplinary four year approach to the longitudinal training of students in the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to translate basic sciences into clinical care of patients. It includes lectures, small groups and clinical selectives beginning in year one.
